Photo Recipe | {Adding Color and Drama Using Spotlights and Glows}

Sometimes an image just needs a boost!

I love this natural shot.  She has just found a shell and wants to show it to me.  The sun is about to set, and the colors in the sky are rich and soft all at the same time.  I'm secretly hoping that my camera is recording it all just as it looks to me in the moment.  That's one reason that I shoot in RAW over jpeg.  It allows me to recover lost details.  This is the image after a few quick edits.  I'd like to add a little hint of drama though.

I decide to use Love that Shot's Warm Tinted Spotlight.  It lightens the subject a tad and subtly draws your eye to her.

Then, I select Rosy Glow.  I mask it onto her at 40% so that she doesn't appear too warm.  I love the warmth everywhere else! One of the reasons that I like Love that Shot's products is they enhance my photos without adding distraction.  They are always a helpful boost in creating the right amount of color and drama.  Check them out for yourself here
