I was able to grow a few sunflowers this summer and I have enjoyed watching them grow and bloom.  

Growing and photographing flowers is a quiet challenge, and I find great peace in doing both.

This is my SOOC shot (straight out of camera):

I felt that the image was lacking warmth, so I used a veil called "Morning" from Love that Shot's Simplicity Collection.  100% on a soft light blending mode really takes the image to a warmer place.

To further the effect, I applied "Honeywheat" from the Botanical Veil Collection (also on soft light at 100% opacity).  And, that feels just right to me.

Done in less than two minutes, and it perfectly represents the ending of summer!
