In the place of where a little girl once stood is enough love to fill up an ocean.
What love left behind is the sweet memory of Kensley Fuller.
She was the twin sister of a sweet and handsome boy named Jack, and became affectionately known as "Keke."
She loved to dance, found magic in the color yellow, and clearly had a special way of making her parents smile.
With more questions than answers, Keke passed away from a lung infection at six years young.
Keke's mother reached out to me to confess that they had never taken true family portraits. Her heart longed for a picture with her entire family.
For remembering Keke, and finding strength in love...
A scholarship has been created in Keke's honor.
The Kensley Fuller Scholarship helps annually to support a medical student attending the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.
To help support their efforts, or learn more about how this family continues to honor the memory of Keke, please visit their Facebook page.
And, please consider having family portraits taken. Memories are far more precious than we realize at times.
A tender prayer goes out to anyone who has had to endure the loss of a child.
Love your babies and hold them tonight. Tomorrow is a hope, not a guarantee.
Smile much, laugh often, and give love.
